Procedures for pregnancy file opening in Kuwait & Birth Certificate

Following are the procedures forpregnancy file opening in Kuwait & Birth Certificate

General

From a Pharmacy, purchase a pregnancy test kit

Congratulations, if positive

For the initial check-up, visit a private clinic

On the third month, for the regular check-up you can visit government or private clinic

Government Clinics

You can visit the govt clinic on any of these three days- Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday.

For Article 22 holders from 7am-12pm, and for Article 18 holders it is 7 am – 12 pm & 4 pm to 8 pm

Documents required: marriage affidavits, Civil ID of both spouses (husband & wife) , pvt clinic initial visit ‘s documents.

For each visit you need to bring the card check-up

Only in the mornings the lab tests are performed, likewise scan should be done only in private clinics.

For each visit, the doctors will not be the same individual.

You need to follow as per the instructions of the doctor.

If you are regularly visiting a private clinic and wish to have your delivery at the Government Hospital, then according to the civil id, visit the govt hospital on the eighth month.

On every visit to the private clinic, the check-up card of the government clinic must be shown to the doctor at the private clinic.

Maternity


If she intends to have delivery in India, she can travel up to the seventh month, certificate of the doctor is necessary.

When you experience labor pain, rush to the hospital

Documents required: marriage affidavit as well civil id of both husband and wife.

Only when informed, KD 2 stamp is required.

Discharge


You need to get clarified about the procedures with the nurse.

After a period of three days, the hospital reception will provide you a pink slip & leave report (eejaza takir)

Civil ID & Affidavit should be of similar Arabic spelling for both the spouses (husband & wife).


Birth certificate


According to the locality you reside, you need to submit the pink slip at the Registrar of Births & Death.

Documents required: marriage affidavit and Civil ID of husband & wife.

You need to submit the first name of the child in the Arabic language.

Collect the certificate on the mentioned date

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for a KD5 stamp you need to get the attestation on the last inside page.

The attestations can be done any of the MOFA offices

MOFA Shuwaikh adjacent to KUNA from 7am to 12 pm. MOFA liberation towers from 4pm to 6pm.

Please Note:

Both original and copies of the documents required

If you do not possess a civil ID, then your passport or health card is required

Check accuracy in all your papers.


If the baby is born in India


The "affidavit of minor for making a passport in India” should be typed by the child’s parent (preferably father). You can contact the typing center to get the form or download it from the Indian embassy website by clicking the following link (Form 7 - http://www.indembkwt.org/passport.php)

This document and the original document must be submitted at the Indian Embassy for affidavit attestation.

Despatch birth certificate & the original papers to India.

Through a travel agent, mother can apply for a passport.

She has to dispatch the copies of pp & the birth certificate to the father

Embassy


For the paper works on birth certificate & passport, you need contact the typing center.

Furnish copies of parents’ official documents.

The photo should be taken with a white background. Ensure that the eyes are open and the ears are noticeable.

Submit the documents at the embassy’s outsourcing centre, after 10 days, collect them.

The name of the spouse must be approved in each passport.

Residency


Study the guidelines mentioned in article 22

In duration of 60 days or 2 months, ensure all the paper work is completed.

If both the father and mother of the child are in article 18, then there are no limitations, but if they are on Article 20, then you need to verify.

Government clinic timings


For visa Article 22

Days: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday

Timing: 7am

For visa: Article 18

Days: Tuesday

Timing: 4pm
