Hermanus

Hermanus is a town, which is situated on the Western Cape (a two hours journey from the Cape Town). It is very close to the South Africa’s southern most point. Hermanus is a very popular tourist destination, where you can watch the whales especially the Southern right Whale. The month of August and November is the ideal time to watch the Southern Right Whale. During the ideal period a visitor from the cliff path, can watch daily these whales. The cliff path stretches from Hermanus’ one side to another.

Though Hermanus is a well-known coastal town in South Africa, it still gives the feeling of small fishing hamlet as it was once before. The town is always engaged with full of festive activities throughout the year like the Fisherman’s village craft market, Hermanus Country market, Hermanuspietersfontein Food & Wine Market, Hermanus country market, live music concerts, etc.

Apart from the whale watching, a tourist can take time in enjoying by taking tour around the tour, wine-tasting, and sea kayaking.

The tourist can also experience the cage diving along with the great white sharks at the adjacent Dyer Island.

The cage is very strong enough to withstand any shark bites. The cage is big enough to accommodate up to a maximum of six people, so you can enjoy the cage diving experience with your family members.
