The village was setup in the year 1973, as an optional home for the former hardworking elephants. At this village, you will come to know how the elephants are trained, fed, showered. You e will also find interesting to know information on how the elephants are controlled and made to move in a specific direction, and how a trained elephant catches an untamed elephant and other information.


Except kids, adults are allowed to go on elephants back. There will be staff for each elephant accompanying the visitors, thereby making them to be in a secure environ. Daily there are four rounds of tour (each round consist of one hour duration). However, if you opt for trekking packages, then you will ride on elephant's back for up to 3 to 5 hours.


Regrettably, you will find difficult to find any public transport to Pattaya elephant village. You need to take a taxi on hire .If you have your own car, then you can go to Soi Nuen Plub Wan (Soi Praphanimit), from there move directly to Suthawat Temple (from Sukhumvit Road, it is approximately 5 kilometers) and after that, you need to turn right and from there, the village is roughly at a distance of 2 kilometers.
