Ngasa augments Tanzania’s pride.

Seattle Sounders, the US based soccer club announced that they are planning to open an academy at Tanzania. The announcement came after the Tanzanian striker Mrisho Ngasa got qualifier at the trails at Seattle.

Subsequent to a call made by the Tanzanian president Jakaya Kikwete, the Seattle Sounders president Lance Lopez said in a statement they had come to a resolution to set up an academy in Tanzania.

The Tanzanian president made a calla after he watched Ngasa play for Seattle sounders in a friendly match against English premier league. Manchester United.

Lance Lopez also said that Sounders will also absorb three players each year after finding out that the country has a number of talented players.

He added that he will take one player to play for the senior side, while two players for the under-17 category to play for the youth academy.

Lopez said the main objective of opening an academy it to give Tanzania a chance to make its player play for Europe, just as how the West African players are doing.
