Certain things never get transformed. When Sachin Ramesh Tendualker arrived into the world cricket arena as a young shy chap in the year 1989 against Pakistan, the expectation was very much high for this Mumbai lad right from the start. He carries the expectation of countless cricket craze Indian fans, whenever he enters into the field to bat. And most of the time, the masterblaster kept up the fans' expectations. The hype given by the Medias for this wonder kid is another vital reason for his evergrowing popularity.

It is no wonder the expectation this time is much more than ever before as the little master is to strike his hundredth ton. In fact the whole nation was shocked with disbelief, when Tendulker got dismissed at 94 in his home ground, in the first innings of 3rd test match against the visiting Caribbean.

Ravi Rampual who took Tendulkar’s wicket later said that he got a reaction that he was the villain as Sachin went back to the pavilion. He further added that he was abused, when he went to the boundary, but that’s cricket. Ravi Rampaul said he is aware he has made a number of Sachin’s diehard fans to be heartbroken.

However the spectators soon recovered from the shock and gave an emotional farewell to the star batsman who entertained the crowds with his bat or more than two decades. The standing ovation at the Wankhade stadium given to Tendulker is a method of saying that your hundredth ton can come earlier or afterwards. You need not prove yourself anymore to anybody, we are always grateful to the happiness given by your magnificent batting.
