Dubai hosts Tami Thaer magazine’s “Vidiyal” publication function.

Dubai: Vaanalai Valar Thamizh Literary association's 52nd monthly publication of “Vidiyal” magazine and Kaviarangam function was held on 28-01-12, Saturday evening at 8 pm, at the Dubai Karama Sivastar Bhavan .

The principal of the Dubai Crescent School and the patron of Tamil language Kalifullah, Kuthalam AsrafAli, and ‘Kaviko’poet Jinnah shreebudhin participated in the function as special guests.
The function commenced with reciting of ‘ThamizhThaai’ Vaazhthu, the advisor of the association Kaveri Mainthan gave the welcome address, This was followed with the guests Kalifullah, Kuthalam AsrafAli, Jinnah Shreebudhin honored and draped with Ponnaadai (shawl) on behalf of the association by Kaveri Mainthan and Jayanthi and Jayaraman Anandhi.

The Special guests Messers Kalifullah, Kuthalam AsrafAli, and Jinnah Shreebudhin released the copies of the Vidiyal magazine, which were received by Vanadhipuram Hanifa, Kaayal Waheed, and Thriumathi Kalifullah respectively.

In his congratulatory address, Kuthalam Asraf Ali spoke about the activities of Vaanalai Valartamil and the active role by its president Govindarajan.He also congratulated the Crescent School for still functioning with Tamil as the first language of instruction.
‘Kaviko’ Jinnah said that writing talent is a boon given by the Almighty and advised it should be used in a proper way. He further praised on the good services rendered by the ValarThamzih association.

The special guest Kalifullah in his address said about his admiration and passion for Tamil language. He reminisced that during his college days, he was affectionately called as ‘Kavingnar’ (poet) by his friends. He said this literary function has again motived him to write poems. He congratulated the performance of the association and also further added that his school has been teaching Tamil as first language for the past 15 year, he further added that he is going to persuade his school's Tamil teachers, and students to write articles in Tamil Thaer Magazine.
“Vidiyal”kaviyarangam was the next program to be conducted. Poet Chandrasekhar, kurunjidasan took the responsibility for the function. Poets Jayaraman Anandhi, Simmabharathi, Jamal, Kavaeri Mainthan, Jiyavudheen, Thanjavooran, Kuthtalam Ashraf, Chandrasekhar and Kurunjidasan, sung poems and the function finally came to a happy ending.

An interesting incident that happened in the function, was a little girl by name Aneesah, who penned her maiden poem. Her poem was sung by her father Jiyavudheen. The girl received a encouraging a rousing applause from the whole audience.

This was followed with new members Murugasen, Muhaideen, Abdul Khadher, and Mohd. Rafique introduced themselves to the audience. The new members also gave individual short speech.
Kaveri Mainthan compered the program, while Keezhai rasa gave the thanking address.

Kaveri Maeinthan, Simmabharathi, Keezhai rasa and Jiyavudheen made the functional arrangements in an excellent way.
