Dubai Tamil Sangam’s Cittirai Thiruvizha: Vellore M.P. Abdul Rehman takes part.

Dubai: Dubai Tamil Sangam’s Cittirai Thiruvizha (spring season celebration) and Sapthaswarangal 2012 Special celebrations was conducted in a grand manner, on Friday evening at the Al Thawaar Star International School.

The Dubai Tamil Sangam President, Mrs. Jayanthi Mala Suresh presided over the function.
Jayanthi Mala Suresh, Brindha Kumar, Chandra Geetha Krishnan, & Kavitha Geethakrishnan, lighted the Kuthuvilaku and inaugurated the function.

The National anthem of the Emirate and the Tamil anthem were recited at the function
Homage was paid to the deceased father of Jayanthi Mala Suresh.

The Vellore member of Parliment, Mr. Abdul Rehman participated in the function as special guest. In his address the MP, said that he is one among them, and he congratulated the service rendered by the Dubai Tamil sangam in association with the Indhiya Nala Maiyam (Indian welfare foundation).

Mr. K.Kumar, a Tamilian by birth is functioning as the convenor of the India Samuga Maiayam (Indian society foundation) and is a recipient of the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award. His selfless service to the Indians in emirate, who are suffering in need, is remarkable. Moreover the MP said at a time when .General Amnesty was granted, he proudly recollected the services of Kumar.

Moreover Mr. Abdul Rehman asked all the participants of the function to make a visit to Delhi and watch the proceedings of the Parliament.

Indhiya Nala Maiya Convenor, Mr.Kumar and the Vice President of the Dubai Tamil Sangam, Mr. A. Liaquat Ali gave the valedictory (congratulatory) address.

The Indian Consulate official, Mr. Ramakrishnan, Pannoolaasiriyar Poet Yembal Thajmul Mohammed, Chennai Muslim media trust’s Millet Ismail, Dinamalar Journalist, Mr.Muduvai Hidayath were given bouquet and honored.

The General Secretary of the Sangam, Jaganathan read the annual report, while the yearly credit and debit report was read by the treasurer Geetha Krishnan.

The Saptaswarangal 2012 musical concert was performed by the member of the Sangam and it greatly enthralled the audience.

The Joint Treasurer Sunder gave the thanking address. The function came to a happy end after the hosting of a night banquet (dinner).
