Dubai: SMILE organization conducted Tamil celebrations under the topic "LEARN A TAMIL- Lena Tamil” at the Karama centre auditorium on 13.04.2012, Friday evening. The president of SMILE organization presided over the function.

The Deputy Editor of Kumudam &Kalkandu, Mr.Lena Tamilvaanan, the managing director of Manimegalai Prasuram, Mr.Ravi Tamilvaanan, and the author of several books, Poet Yaembal Tajmul Mohammed, participated in the function as special guests.

Mr. Lena Tamilvaanan, in his address said though opinion differences may prevail in life, he advised that, an individual should adopt a lifestyle free from quarrel, disaccord.

Mr. Ravi Tamilvaanan in his speech, complimented Mr. Suresh, he said though Suresh’s, mother tongue is Malayalam, he praised Suresh for his keen interest in Tamil and for organizing the Tamil celebrations.
Poet and Pannoolasiriyar , Yaembal Tajmul Mohammed released the Lena Tamilvaanan authored books, “PizhaiIIamal Ezhuthuvadhu eppadi (how to write without mistakes)”,”Yaeliya Murayil illakanam matrum Thooya Thamizhil pesuvome (Let us speak grammar and chaste Tamil in a simple manner)”, the books were received by Mr. Suresh .Later, Poet Yaembal Tajmul Mohammed gave ideas & tips, on how to write poems.
Mementos were given to the special guests.

“Appadi podu, Ippadi podu” Hiqoo, modern poetry competition was held. Out of the 12 contestants, Hasan Jamal, Balkees, Illaya Shahul secured the first, second and third place respectively.

In the “Senthamzihum, Chennai Thamizhum “program, nine participants took part and Sabena, Ramallah Malar were adjudged as the winners for Senthamzih and Chennai Thamizh respectively.

Ten participants took part in the “Tamil Pesu Thanga Bossu” program , and Elaiya Shahul won the prize. Book Exhibition was also organized. Radio Hello’s Sana and Smile Suresh anchored the programs., A lot of Tamil admirers participated in the function.
