AbuDhabi: On behalf of the Indian embassy , the Foreign Minister for India, Mr. S.M. Krishna, was given a warm welcome on 15.04.2012,Sudnay evening at the AbhDhabi Hilton hotel.

The Indian ambassador, Mr.M.K.Lokesh, welcomed the Union Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna. The Indian envoy praised Mr. S.M.Krishna, and said that he has occupied several prestigious posts as Chief Minister, Governor and now as external affairs minister. Mr.Lokesh said he felt honored to welcome the Union Minister on behalf of the Indian community.

The Union Minister S.M.Krishna, in his acceptance speech said that he has come on an official visit to participate in meeting of Indian envoys working in AbhDhabi and Gulf, and thanked them for welcoming him as well as for providing an opportunity to meet the representatives of the Indian community.
The union minster reminisced in gratitude, that the Indian community living in the Emirate, play a prominent role, in not only in the economic uplift of the country, in which they reside, but also for their motherland.

The external affairs minister complimented that each and every Indian in the emirate are serving as ambassador, for establishing healthy ties between India and Emirate. He further assured that the Indian Government will always support the Indians residing abroad.

The Indian Counsel General, Mr. Sanjay Verma, embassy officials, Indian businessmen, and representatives of the various Indian associations participated in the occasion.
