Dubai hosts Semasinger 2012, renowned playback singer Manickam Vianayagam participated as special guest.

Dubai: Smile event in association with Radio Hello conducted Semasinger 2012 in Dubai on 30.03.2012, Friday evening at the Dubai Al Dawar Star International School.

On March 23rd & 24th the preliminary round for Semasinger 2012 was conducted at the Karamaa center for kids in the age group of between five to fifteen years. Fifteen contestants got qualified for the final round.

In the final selection, playback singer Mancikam Vinayagam selected five super singers .The details of the winner are as follows: Karthik Kumar, Shruthi Srinivas Chakravarthy, Shruthi Sudharshan Chakravarthy, Pon.Savitha, and Dakshin Illango.

Playback singer Mancikam Vianyagam entertained the fans with his popular numbers. Paavai Nivas gave comical tidbits. Suresh & Asokan of Radio Hello gave away the certificates to the singers, who secured the special places. The team headed by Mr. Suresh made the arrangements for the function.
