Busan

Busan formally known as Busan Metropolitan City officially spelled as Pusan is the second biggest metropolis in South Korea, next to Seoul. The place is a popular tourist destination. It has a number of attractions like the Geumjeongsan, Beomeosa, Yongdusan Park, etc.


Youngdusan Park: It is one of the most renowned parks in Busan. It houses the famous Busan tower; a lofty tower of 118meteres height situated in the Jung-gu area of Busan in South Korea.The tower constructed in 1973 offers a panoramic view of the city of Busan.


Beomeosa: It is one of the foremost urban temples in the country. Beomeosa is constructed on the hills of Geumjeongsan. It is a head shrine for the Korean Buddhism’s Jogye Order in Geumjeong-gu district’s Cheongnyong-dong of Busan in South Korea.


Some to the unique aspects of the temple are the

Three storey stone pagoda: It is known as Treasure 250. The pagoda belongs to the combined Shilla period and is raised as a portion of the original shrine. In1952, the pagoda was devastated by fire and at present, only the uppermost three stories belong to the Shilla era, whilst the fence and base are recent additions.


There is a gigantic rock at the peak, where the temple is situated. There is a golden well and it is found the water in the well never gets dried up. It is believed a golden fish came from heaven and is believed to be still there.
