The chili beef recipe

The tasty chili beef recipe is a popular recipe among the non veg buffs residing in the western countries.

The ingredients required to prepare this recipe

250 grams of finely sliced beef

4nos of green chilies

5nos. of garlic pods

One tablespoon of white pepper powder

Two tablespoon of soya sauce

One tablespoon of sugar

One table spoon of Black pepper powder

Two tablespoon of sliced spring onions.

One no. of chicken stock cube.

One no. of egg

Sufficient amount of Corn flour

Preparation Method

On a medium fire, heat the oil in a pan.

Then the beef should be rolled in plain flour.

The beef should then be fried in batches, until it is turns brownish in color.

In a casserole, place the beef, bay leaves, whole garlic cloves, cardamom pods and the chopped onions and the whole mixture should be immersed in water. With a lid cover the casserole, and at 390 ° F or 200 °C, cook the mixture for a time duration of two hours.

With a small amount of water, make a paste with, chili powder, mustard powder and curry powder.

The onion should then be fried and you have to wait till it is transparent, then include the grated ginger, smashed garlic and green chili, and then on a medium heat, fry it by stirring it for five minutes.

Then include the chili powder, mustard powder and curry powder paste; then by stirring fry it for 30 seconds.

Then into the pan, merge the beef that is cooked in the casserole.

You need to place the gravy and simmer for duration of at least five minutes or you have to continue the stirring, until the beef is hot.

When required, include some amount of juice from the casserole, so that the curry does not get too dry or thick.

Then include some fresh coriander and just cook for a minute.

Garnish the chilly beef with coriander and serve it with rice.
