Almond Milk Shake

Almond Milk shake is a thick and creamy beverage and is exceptionally tasty when it is served chilled. This is a perfect drink after a light breakfast. You may add some oats as well that would add taste. Oats as a healthy breakfast that we may add in our menu may be added as an alternative for the usual oats porridge. It is always a hit especially with cookies, cakes or some milkshakes. But when added in almonds make it really good, tastier and creamier.

Ingredients:

  • 15 pieces of almonds
  • 8 pieces of cardamom pods
  • Some crushed ice to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of fennel seeds
  • One and one fourth cup of milk
  • 10 pieces of pepper corns
  • Three to four tablespoons of sugar
  • Three fourth cup of water
  • One teaspoon of Poppy seed (white)

Preparation:

  1. Make sure to have the almonds soaked overnight. Drain it first and then put them in a blender with at least one fourth cup of water. Blend them into a smoothie paste.
  2. Start grinding the seeds from the cardamom with the fennel, poppy seeds and the peppercorns. You may now soak the stuff of ground seeds along with the rest of the water. Leave it soaked for an hour or more.
  3. You need to strain this liquid through some three folds of a cheese cloth and then add the milk and sugar along with the almond paste. Mix very well and then serve over with some crushed ice.
  4. For the lassi add some yogurt in replacement or instead of milk then add three fourth drop of rose aroma.
