Children of expats can attend Independent schools
Doha The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has specified 28 Independent schools at 12 different areas outside Doha, where children of expatriate employees of the private sector could be admitted, local daily Arrayah has reported. The schools are at Madinat Al Shammal, Dukhan, Rawdat Rashid, Al Karaana, Al Shahaniyah, Al Ghuwayriah, Al Kharssa, Al Kaaban, Al Ghashamiyah, Al Jamilah, Sumaysimah, and Al Zakhirah, where there are no private schools. According to a SEC circular, the condition for admission is that the parents should be living in the area of such schools and submit documents that prove so, and the schools should have available seats that do not exceed their capacity. Students admitted in such schools are not permitted to transfer to any of the Independent schools in Doha, the daily added.
