Tiger airways to introduce flight to Colombo, SriLanka

Tiger airlines is planning to introduce flights from Singapore to Colombo, its maiden destination in SriLanka and the seventh, in its enlarging destination network system in South Asia.


From March 23rd 2012, tickets were made available at an extraordinary promotional fare on a first come first basis, with limited seats.


The price of the ticket from Singapore to Colombo is Sin$138, all inclusive. From May 31st to Sept 24th 2012, the promotional travel fare is available. The airlines will operate flights to the SriLankan Capital weekly three times on Tue, Thurs and Saturday.


Colombo, as a busy metropolis is a hub of Srilankan political, cultural and economical happenings. It houses the headquarters of several Srilankan corporations and it attracts diverse culture of the island country collectively to create an attractive collage of colonial architectural wonders, rural attractions and active trade vibes.


The managing director of Tiger airways Singapore, Mr. Stewart Adams said Colombo is a global entry to several attractive SriLankan tourist spots like the immaculate beaches of Unawatuna and Beruwala and the UNESCO cultural heritage sites of Kandy and Polonnaruwa. The Colombo direct service along with the value for money air fares of Tiger airways not only augments the connectivity among the two counties, but also offers the SriLankans staying in South East Asia, an added motivation to frequently visit their friends and family members in SriLanka.
