Telugu Cultural Association of Greater Toronto (TCAGT).

Canada is a diversified cultural society that promotes and maintains the heritage and culture. The Indo- Canadian population comprising of the deluge speaking people is big, affluent and energetic. Telugu Cultural Association of Greater Toronto was formed to encourage, conserve, uphold, achieve and augment the Telugu people‘s cultural legacy in GTA and adjacent cities. The TCAGT was formed to maintain and broadcast the Telugu people’s affluent cultural heritage in GTA and adjacent cities.

TCAGT functions as non-pofit organizations, and the general body comprises of Annual as well as life members. The executive committee is vested with the power to manage the organization. The Executive committee comprises of the President, four directors, Secretary, 2 youth directors, treasurer.

A chairman and 2 trustees are elected from the life members. They are elected by life family and single members. TCAGT’s fiscal welfare is looked after by board of trustees. This board creates long term plan of the association.

The executive committee of TCAGT conducts various functions such as, Ugadi, Sankranti, Deepavali, Christmas, etc to showcase the kind spirit of Telugu culture. .The committee also conducts the annual music events, picnic, and youth activities to encourage young talent in the society thereby forming a platform for the younger generation to convene and work together.
