PM declares setting up of an Education commission
Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh declared that his government is very much keen on improving the quality of Education and universalize the secondary education.
The announcement was made in his Independence Day speech form the Redford ramparts. The announcement came as an encouragement to the education sector as the country witnessed its 65thIndependence day.
The PM said skill developments and vocational education had obtained new significance and in view of the “main changes”, his government ahs decided to setup a commission.
The prime minister said that his government is satisfied with it achievements for the past seven years in the education and health sector. He added that whether it is in areas of elementary education, secondary education or higher education, his government has taken tangible steps for enhancements at all levels.
He said that he has often referred the 11th plan as education plan with much emphasis on education. Likewise the 12th plan will be on health.
