Kuwait (Feb, 02’ 2012): Indian Muslim Association (IMA)under the patronage of the Grand Mosque, Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs has organized a program on Seerat-un Nabi (Life & Character of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) at Yousuf-Al-Adsani Mosque. The function started after the Isha prayers with the recitation of Holy Qur’an following its translation in Urdu language by Hafiz Mohammed Owais.

In his introductory speech IMA President Mr. Mohammed Aslam explaind precisely the importance of the life and teaching of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) in its broad prospective and its implication on our social and religious arena.

The chief guest of the function Dr. Sulaiman Al-Shatti, Chairman of the Social reform Society Kuwait cited that it is the responsibility of the Muslims to follow the path forwarded by the Prophet Mohammed(pbuh). He also referred the book “The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History ” written by Michael H. Hart where prophet Muhammad(pbuh) is mentioned as No 1 among historical personalities .

Masood Shahab, Vice President of IMA explained the Quranic verse which says ,: “O Prophet, We have sent you to be a real blessing for all the people of the world". through various examples.

Another speaker Sharafuddin B.S explained about the 4 steps of reformation movement of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) which are changings the throughts , reforming the actions , applying the do's and do not's and providing logical basis to the thoughts. The lecture was based on the Quranic verse , “It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered an apostle from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error” .

Maulana Mujahid Umri elaborately explained the Leadership and teaching of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). He told that the solution for all the grievances of mankind lies in opting for the wisdoms of leadership articulated practically by Muhammad(pbuh) throughout his life.

The program was convened by Qazi Zafar. The function was attended by several hundred men & women. Dinner was arranged at the end of the program
