Dubai: The Dubai Iman association conducted the annual Milad-i- nabi elocution (speech) contest on 27-1-12, Friday evening at the Star International School. Mr. Kayal Shahul Hameed came first and won the Dubai-Chennai-Dubai prize.

The function commenced with office Manager, Dindugul Jamal Mohaideen reciting scriptures (prayers) from the Holy kuran. The General Secretary Mr.Kuthalam.A.Liyaqat presided over the function. The Deputy General Secretary Mohd. Taaha gave the welcome address, while the Vice president Ahmed Mohaideen delivered the Keynote address.

The Muhubul Ulma Keezhakarai Mohammad Mehrub, the Ayman association president Athirai Shahul Hameed, Kayal Moulavi Muthu Mohammed Aalim participated in the contest as Judges.

M.E.Mohaideen won the second prize, a cash prize of 1000 Dirham, sponsored by Arabia Taxi. The third prize, a gold coin of 4 grams sponsored by Landmark hotel was won by Israt Farida.
The consolation prizes sponsored by Al Haseena Jewellers, Al Masrik International, Abudhabi Chettinad restaurant, India Silk House, Nikah.com, Upgrade Tyres, Premier Orbit Express, S.T.Courier were received by M. Razeem, Khatijha Begum, Fahima Ali, Abdul Milahir, Cumbam Merit Khan Mustafa, Natham Mustafa, M.Mohammed Ansari, Rasheed Anwar, Mohd. Iqbal, Mohd. Ali Jinnah,Mohd Ibrahim.

The Office Manager Dindugul Jamal Mohaideen, Jamat Coordinator Boodhamangalam Mohaideen, Executive council member Akbar Basha gave the memontos to the Judges.

Function organizing wing secretary Keezhai Hammed Yaasin, welfare wing Faisur, Jamat Coordinator Mohaideen assisted the judges in calculating and announcing the results in the final round.

The function secretary kaayal Yahya coordinated the arrangements for the speech contest.

The Public relation and media secretary Mudhuvai Hariayth thanked all those who participated in the function.

The executive council members made the necessary arrangements for the function in an excellent manner.
