The owners of Apple iPod nano who are facing the problems of overheating are to get a free replacement. The Apple iPod Nano that were sold in between the time period from month of September 2005 to the month of December 2006 will get a free replacement.

Apple asserts that the risk probability is very rare. It said since the battery gets ages over a period of time, the possibility of overheating may increase. The company also found that one of the manufacturers produced a faulty battery.

Apple has advised the customers using the iPod Nano to avoid using it and assured them, that they will get a replacement, if they have one, The Apple iPod which had overheating problems, possessed a metal rear and the front portion is made up of plastic.

If a customer wants to have a replacement for his Apple iPod Nano, then all he should do is furnish details like given his serial number. The number will be checked for eligibility. Make sure you have a backup of all your datas and iTunes prior to your replacement. One thing you should note is, if you have personalized the setting of you iPod Nano then you are not eligible for it.

You will get your replacement, six weeks from the day, the company receive your old ones.
