Beijing, April 24 (IANS) A 4,800-year-old cultural heritage site is being restored in northwest China.

 
 The Dadiwan site is situated in Qin'an county of Gansu province, Xinhua reported.
 
 The heritage site - one of the cradles of Chinese culture - originated in the Neolithic Age. It has some earliest traces of China's agriculture, pottery, painting and writing.
 
 The site also has the country's first palace-like building.
 
 This would be one of the country's "largest and most comprehensive restoration", said Cheng Xiaozhong, head of the Heritage Site Preservation Office.
