14,000 Yemenis in Jazan get visit visas

JAZAN: The Passport Department in Jazan has issued 14,000 Yemenis six-month visit visas, a local publication reported.
Brig. Gen. Mohammad bin Zaher Al-Shahri, said the Jazan passport department has set up a dedicated team to deal with the documentation of Yemenis, which includes their medical reports.
Al-Shahri said the department was following the orders of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to ensure speedy delivery of services for Yemenis needing proper documentation.
Those who need assistance can visit the local office or the department’s website at www.gdp.gov.sa and make an appointment after filling in the required information, he said.
Capt. Abdulrahman Al-Asmari, press spokesman for the department, said officials are working hard to process the documentation of Yemenis and record their biometric details.
The department opens at 7 a.m. and continues until 1 a.m. the next day. He said the visit visas allow Yemenis to work in the country. They can renew them under specific conditions.
