Posted 12 Jan 2012 by jaijai

Oracle has introduced an innovative Big Data Appliance, manufactured in joint venture with Cloudera. The Organization declared in October, that it was creating a Hadloop appliance. However few onlookers thought that it would make this quickly.

George Lumpkin of Oracle said a couple of vital missing pieces are being brought by Cloudera, which embraces it, management software, and deeper second support on third stage level.

The Oracle Big Data Appliance will have the Apache Hadoop distribution of Hadoop of Cloudera, the Oracle NoSQL database and the open-source distribution of R software, the Cloudera manager. The packaged software and hardware will be sold at a price of $450,000, together with a 12percent as support payment.
