Thrissur Association of Kuwait (TRASSK) conducted free medical camp

Thrissur Association of Kuwait (TRASSK) conducted a free medical camp on 30th March 2012 at Pakistan Excel English School Abbassiya, in co ordination with Indian Doctors Forum (IDF), Kuwait Medical Association (KMA) and Kuwait Heart Foundation (KHF). The aim of TRASSK in conducting this medical camp was to provide medical checkup and consultation for the needy people in the society who do not have easy and direct access to medical consultation. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Namboodiri, President of Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) Kuwait. He congratulated and assured his association’s whole hearted support for such social health events in future. TRASSK President Sebastian Vathukadan during his presidential address congratulated members for their efforts and thanked event sponsors WESTERN UNION and AL- MULLA EXCHANGE for their continuous support. He also expressed his gratitude towards IDF(Indian doctors forum), KMA (Kuwait Medical Association) and KHF (Kuwait Heart Foundation) for their backing.

TRASSK Social Welfare Convener Mr.Maneesh welcomed all individuals to the medical camp. Felicitations were given by IDF Joint secretary and Community Service Dr.yousef Dar, Vanitha Vedi President Mrs. Rema vijyan, Social Welfare Committee Coordinator Mr.Ashraf and AL-Mulla exchange company Marketing Manager Mr. John Simon. TRASSK General Secretary Mr. Steephen Vadakethala delivered the vote of thanks to all those who supported for the success of the event.

Camp was equipped with most modern equipment’s like ECG, Ultra sound scanner, Sugar testing Equipment and cholesterol testing instrument. Around 75 paramedical staffs and doctors from different departments were present for the event. Around 1250 individuals got benefits from the medical camp.

All persons commented that such Free medical camp is beneficial for the local community in Kuwait. On the same day there was a collection of used dresses from members for Patient Welfare Society of Govt. Leprosy Hospitals in Kerala. Majority of the members contributed their part which in turn was a great success. A daylong Medical camp was started at 7:00am and winded up around 3:30 PM.
