The UK Bhavan (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan)

The UK bhavan is the first overseas branch of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. It is the biggest Institute for Indian culture and arts outside the Indian Republic.

The teachings of the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan follow Mahatma Gandhiji’s teachings. On the basis of his philosophy and ideals, the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is a secular, non-political institution, which is open to all people irrespective of the religion, caste, creed or gender. The isntituion has completely coherent equivalent opportunities guidelines.

Some of the activities of the institution

• The teaching timetable adopts regular school terms and functions through early evenings and weekends.

• According to the requirements of the people, summer schools and special events are arranged.

• The students are exposed to grate Indian cultural exponents, by cheering visiting scholars and performers to give classes.

• The Bhavan Theater regularly stages dramas in English as well as all well known Indian languages. It widely promotes Indian music and dance.
