The hot Tindora Fry

The Tindora Fry is a mouth watering delicious side dish that goes well with chapattis, dosas, bread etc.

The ingredients needed to prepare the Tindora Fry are,

Two cups of sliced
One inch piece of Ginger 1 inch
One tablespoon of Urad Dal
One teaspoon of Chana Dal
One fourth of a teaspoon of Cumin Seeds.
Three to four Whole Red Chiles
A few sprigs of Cilantro.
A sufficient amount of Salt to suit your taste.
One tablespoon of Oil.

Preparation Method

First rinse the Cilantro leaves thoroughly.

Then skin and shred the ginger.

Tindora should be washed, its end removed and then sliced vertically into two or more pieces based on the Tindora thickness.

On a low heat, warm a pan then sauté urad dahl, channa dhal, and full red chillies till they are fragrant.

To room temperature cool the baked items and then pound them into a fine powder.

In a pan, warm oil of one tablespoon quantity, then include the sliced pieces of tindora.

On an average flame, sauté the tindora, until it is light golden brownish in color.

Then covering the mixture, cook it for a few minutes.

Then add the grated ginger and the mixture of ground spice and blend it .

After frying for a few seconds, include sliced cilantro and mix it.

The hot tindora can be served with plain rice or along with roti.
