During the holidays, the fire fighters are fully busy. In central Texas, during this weekend, one person died and at least 12 people were relocated from the house fires.

For Survivors who had a close shave with the raging fires, it would be a nightmarish experience.

David Bailey a resident, who’s Duplex, caught fire recollects teht every one are having a sound sleep, when all of a sudden he as to get up and grab eth kids, the dogs and vacate the house. David and his wife along with his brother and sister–in-law, living in the adjacent house, when the fire broke, moved out alive.

When compared to the summer, the fire casualties are three foiled in winter. The fire personnel said they know the reason.
Mr. Thomas Pechal of Temple Fire said during the months in winter, there is a surge in the heat related fires.

These fires begin from the space heaters or fire places, or if the residents utilize insecure techniques to keep themselves such as lighting an oven. The fires that displaced the family of David Bailey originated from a space heater that was unattended.


Some precautionary measures can be taken by having a grate in the fireplace. The grated assists in avoiding the ashes to get spilled out and lighting the nearby items.

Likewise the space heater should be properly attended and checked before leaving the kitchen or going to bed.
