Beijing, July 10 (IANS) A naked woman threw her four-year-old son from the fourth floor of an apartment in Shanghai, killing him instantly. She then jumped on top of her dead child and was badly injured.


The incident took place Saturday in Baoshan area. The 35-year-old mother broke several bones but was alive, Shanghai Daily reported.

A witness said she saw the woman naked on her balcony, holding the child by his feet.

Neighbours screamed at her to stop but the woman jumped and fell onto the body of her son, police said.

Neighbours said she was a university graduate and her husband was a railway employee. She suffered from depression ever since her mother died last year and seldom spoke to anyone.
