Muthamilzh Kalai Mandram (MUKAM), Kuwait hosted the Pongal & Cultural Arts Festival at Indian Central School, Abbasiya on 27/01/2012, 5.30 PM.

The meeting was presiding by Neravy Er. Rajesekar (President) and he welcomed the MUKAM and other prominent members. The program was convened by Mrs. Vijayapriya Ramanan.

Mr. Pazhamalai Krishnamoorthy (Secretary – Literature Wing) delivered a short message on Tamil Literature and its cultural Value.

The program was honored by the Chief Guest from India, Dr. Ulaganayagi MA, M.Phil, PhD, Dr. S. Ulaganiyagi Palani M.A., M.Phil., P.hd., Associated Professor Stella Mary College, Chennai, President, All India Womens's Writers Association, President, Ulaga Magalir Ilakkiya Iyakkam, Chennai, Vice-President, T.Nagar branch, All India Writers Association. chennai, Dy. Secretary, Chennai Kamban Kazhagam, Dy. Secretary, Bharathiyar Sangam, Chennai, Executive Member, Thamizh Mozhi Academy, Chennai and Associate Secretary, International Tamil center, Chennai.

The Chief Guest in her lecture highly crafted the importance of Tamil Culture & the reason of Celebrating Pongal Festival.

Mr. K. Natarajan, Mr. Shajahan, Mr. Tamilnadaan has actively participated in this program.

Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA) Ex President Mr. Almass Mustafa, Guardian Council member Mr. I. Zahiruddin, Public Relation & Media Secretary Mr. S.M Arif Maricar, Ex Treasurer Mr. H. Jahir Hussain has participated and they handover TMCA’s 15th Anniversary Souvenir to our Chief Guest Dr. Ulaganayagi.

This program organized by Mr. K.Jayabalan and also members of other associations has participated enthusiastically in the celebration of Pongal & Cultural Arts Festival. Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. M.K Gandhi. Special Dinner was served at the end.
