Lulu Hypermarket launches Hala Festival with special festivities

Lulu Hypermarket, the lifestyle shopping destination of choice and the largest hypermarket in the country, celebrated the occasion of Kuwait’s Hala February, with a flurry of special offerings and promotions. The festivities were flagged off on Thursday, 16th February at 7.30pm at the Lulu Hypermarket’s Qurain branch by H.E. Sheikh Faisal al Humoud al Malek al Sabah and the Management of Lulu Hypermarket, in the presence of a large gathering of shoppers and well-wishers.

The dignitaries were welcomed by a lively Ardha, the traditional Kuwaiti sword dance. To mark the occasion special themed decorations, balloons and buntings in the colors of the Kuwaiti flag decorated the venue. Following the cutting of the cake by His Excellency a cultural program was inaugurated with the national anthem and patriotic songs rendered by students of Carmel School, Kuwait.

Adding to the festival mood were face painting and henna painting booths as well as a large canvas that stretched across the foyer of the mall on which people could express their sentiments on the festivities and their love for the country. Another highlight at the Hypermarket was the display of vegetables that were sourced from local farms and the arrangement of these to depict the national flag of Kuwait.

Speaking about the launch of this remarkable festival at Lulu Hypermarket, H.E. Sheikh Faisal said that he was extremely pleased at the initiative and thanked the management of the hypermarket for conducting the event. His Excellency expressed his special thanks Mr.Yusuffali MA, the Managing Director of Lulu Group for the efforts undertaken by him in supporting retail activities in the country and lauded his dedication to the best interests of Kuwait. He wished the festivities the best of success.
