Indian delegation arrives in Sri Lanka
Colombo, June 10 (IANS) A high-level Indian delegation arrived here Friday for talks with the Sri Lankan leadership on post-war developments in the island, officials said.
Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao, National Security Advisor Shivashankar Menon and Defence Secretary Pradeep Kumar will be here for two days, the Sri Lankan foreign ministry said.
The delegation would meet President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Foreign Minister G.L. Peiris and other officials, Xinhua reported.
The Indian officials would look to gather information on the latest developments in the country especially concerning the Tamil community, the authorities said.
