Indian business to get Google free websites to boost up Internet usage

Indian Small and medium business organization are to get free website sites from Google Inc, in order to increase the use of internet in the biggest economy of Asia. In the next three years, Google aims to acquire online, nearly half a million of these businesses.

With about 870 million consumers, India ranks as the second largest mobile phone market on the globe. However, the penetration of Internet is very low, with only a 100 million or one tenth of the country’s 1.2 billion population making use of the Internet and that still make India, the globe’s largest user of Internet in the market.

India is the domicile to nearly more than eight million small and medium businesses. Of this nearly 400,000 have website and nearly 100,000 businesses have an energetic presence online.

At present, the online business in India is very low, however a small number of people doubt, that one day, it will make a gigantic business in the nation. Google said India has strike an “Inflection point “in the ecommerce presentation.

Nikesh Arora, the chief business officer of Google spoke to reporters, that his company desires to construct an eco system and that they are spending in the market. Mr. Arora further added, though the country is not a large market for revenue, his company still believes it is an excellent consumer market.

The managing director of the Google’s Indian unit asserted, that his company is making “considerable” investments in the free web hosting plan and that they have no “near term returns expectations from it.

The free web domain names will be facilitated by the Internet search giant and its partner, HostGator, the web hosting firm. Google and its partner will also help in maintaining the website for a time period of one year without charging a single buck. Only at the end of the year, the consumers need to pay a nominal fee if they desire to renew the domain.
