The final countdown has begun. International organizers AVC – Kuwait in association with Festa Entertainments Dubai are all geared to organize the 2nd Edition of the ‘’GULF GOANS CUP – DUBAI 2012’’ in Dubai. The 7 a side football tournament will be held on 24th February 2012 at the Etisalat Academy grounds starting at 8.30am (UAE local time) Indian expatriate teams from GCC countries are participating in this day long football carnival. Also expected are the Goa Veterans from Goa to light up the atmosphere. The draw will be held on 17th February 2012 in Dubai and will be published on all print and electronic media in Kuwait and UAE.

The 1st Edition of Gulf Goans Cup 2010 was organized in September 2010 at the Karama Stadium in Dubai and gauging the overwhelming response from the Indian community in UAE the organizers declared to the public to be back for the 2nd Edition. The 1st Edition in 2010 saw 24 teams from GCC countries participating and the final was won by Vanxim Diwar from Dubai.
