Google to acquire Motorola’s mobile phone business

In one of the major deal in the rapid growing mobile handset market, Internet monster Google ash clinched a deal to acquire Motorola mobility for an amount of $12.5 billion. This major turn of event will give Google a major advantage to in the mobile computing area and will have also give entry to Motorola’s variety of android operating system based contributions.

At a $40 per share or 12.5 billion in cash, Google will buy the Indian origin Sanjay Jha’s Motorola mobility. A definitive agreement has been reached by both the companies and the board of directors of eh respective companies have given their nods.

In India both Motorola and Google have a good presence. The statement reveals that Motorola Mobility will stay as an Android licensee and Android will stay open. The Motorola mobility will be operated as a separate business by Google.


The Google CEO Larry page asserted that both units will provide astonishing user practices which will supercharge the whole android System of the advantage of consumers, partners and developers.
