Cairo, June 4 (IANS) The Cairo Criminal Court Saturday awarded 30-year prison term in absentia to Egypt's former finance minister Youssef Boutros Ghali, Xinhua quoted the state media as reporting.

 
 The court also ordered Ghali to return 35.791 million Egyptian pounds (around $6 mn) and pay a fine of a similar value for squandering public funds and abusing his power for his own benefits.
