Driving License for Malaysia.

If you have a valid International driving License, then obtaining a Malaysian Probationary driving license will not be that much difficult for you.

The conditions required to be eligible for the probationary driving license in Malaysia are

1. The valid domestic driving license holders from Nations that have mutual agreement with the Malaysian government.

If the license is in language other than English, a translated script of the license in English or Bahasa Malaysia by the issuing country’s embassy or licensing authority is essential.

Original foreign driving license and its photocopy.

International travel document/passport

RM60.00 payment up to a time period of two years.

A finished JPJL1 Form

2. Valid foreign driving license holders from nation that does not have a mutual agreement with the Malaysian government, but are associate or contracting nations of the Geneva United Nation Conference on Road and Motor Transport (1948 & 1968) are eligible to apply to the RTD Director General to be excused from tests to acquire a driving license under eh following criterion

Malaysians

Duly filled 'Lampiran B-2' Application form.

Valid driving license’s certified copy

If the license is in language other than English, a translated script of the license in English or Bahasa Malaysia

National Identity card’s certified copy.

Non Malaysians

Expatriates possessing a valid work permit, which exceeds one year time period obtained form the department of Immigration.

Expatriates’ spouses or kids having valid dependent passes that exceeds one year time period obtained from the department of Immigration.

Malaysian’s spouses who are foreign person should have a PR status, so that they are entitled to submit an application.

The documents that are essential are

Duly filled 'Lampiran B-2' Application form.

Valid driving license’s certified copy

A certified copy of the pertinent work permit and passport /Dependent passes.

If the license is in language other than English, a translated script of the license in English or Bahasa Malaysia by the issuing country’s embassy or licensing authority is essential.
