Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Central Kalahari Game Reserve is a widespread park located in Botswana’s Kalahari Desert. The Game Reserve was formed in the year 1961; it is spread on a 52,800 km², an area twice the size of Massachusetts State in the US and 1/16 of the total area of Botswana.

The park is home to wide range of flora and fauna. Some of the animals you can find are the brown hyena, giraffe, wild dog, warthog, leopard, blue wildebeest, eland, lion, kudu, gemsbok, and red hartebeest. You will find the terrain to be generally flat and undulated smoothly, enveloped with grasses, bushes, and regions covered with big trees. The reserve is meandered by four fossil rivers, and some 16,000 years ago the Deception valley was created.

The reserve boasts of having a rich population of the most famous black maned lions and cheetahs.

You will also admire a varied species of birds like the Ostrich, the biggest bird in Africa, the globe's heavy flying bird, Kori bustard, etc.
