Android obtains approval from pentagon.

Google’s Android has got the approval of Pentagon, which will make the US military to utilize the software together with the encrypted blackberry.

The Pentagon has given its approval for the Android edition running on the hardware of Dell, which is considered a main hinder for the phone from Apple.

The endorsement from the military is somewhat precise. Android can only be utilized on hardware’s from Dell, which runs on Android 2.2. Only Dell Venue that runs on Android 2.2 are provided by Dell at present. Hence this phone is considered to be utilized by the Dod employees.

As per Stars & Stripes, Google and other organizations developed the Android. It is a open source software which the consumer can easily configure.

But efforts to get the pentagon endorsement for the Apple iOS were in vain due to the Apple’s rigid control over its platform.
Establishing a third party software in iPads and iPhones seems to be not feasible at present. It will be a risk for a government official, particulary, when a non American uses an Apple’s iOS or iphone. Stars & Stripes reports, that Apple tracks an individual’s movement by means of its incorporated chips.

Since Blackberry Smartphone permits encrypted traffic, it can be broadly used at present day operations on the DOD networks.
