London, June 20 (IANS) Four hundred men and women in Britain peeled off their clothes and went into freezing waters to set a world skinny-dipping record, a media report said Monday.

 
 The naked bathers attempted the record in Wales, The Sun reported.
 
 The bathers had to remain waist-deep for 10 minutes to break the previous Guinness Book record set by 250 people.
 
 "It was exhilarating," 25-year-old Lizzy White who had flown in from Australia to take part in it was quoted as saying.
 
 Added another nude bather, Sue Jones: "I've skinny-dipped in Greece and Spain. This was the first time in Wales - and the last."
