Bahrain 'top role model for religious tolerance'
The fourth edition of international roadshow This is Bahrain got underway in the French capital yesterday with an event at the Great Mosque of Paris. Speakers included Bahrain Dialogue Table of Religions and Cultures (Tasamah) chairman Shaikh Salah Al Jowder, who spoke of Bahrain's religious freedom and denounced those who spread hatred, while French Council of the Muslim Faith National Collective Against Islamophobia president Abdallah Zekri said the world could learn much from Bahrain's example of religious tolerance. The exhibition, conference and dialogue continues in Paris until Wednesday with the main event being held tomorrow at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile from 5pm to 8pm Paris time. The show was the brainchild of the Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations, but is now set to become a separate entity aimed at highlighting Bahrain's tolerance and promoting understanding.
