Israel, without a mascot for the London Olympics

.Jerusalem: An official belonging to the National committee said, that the Olympic squad of Israel will participate without a mascot in the London games, to be held this year. The committe discarded the earlier ideas it had in mind.


The decision came after a public outburst against the release of a baby character in the shape of peanut and wrapped in diaper. The character pet named as “Bamba” is a representation of a local preferred snack for the kids. The character was withdrawn hours subsequent to a public outburst.


Osem, the snack manufacturers paid the Israeli Olympic committee, a sum of 1, 00,000 shekels for the beloved logo to be utilized, however the reaction made the Israeli Olympic committee to withdraw.
